Project Overview
This cabling Infrastructure renovation for the Door County Highway Department’s Shop and Ambulance garage will increase the network’s ability to serve a mixture of county needs.
The newly added 2-story addition for the Door County Shop and Ambulance Garage will provide more room, improve service space and also accommodate office space for Communication Agency Resources and other administrative personnel. Based on the requirements for physical use, communication needs, and unique applications for various county departments, a Public Bid was issued. Cooperating with its Door County electrical partner, CC&N won the bid for the low-voltage cabling implementation.
The project required 462 cable locations using the Panduit Structured Cabling System. It also required Multi-Mode Fiber Optic backbone installation. High, open ceilings called for special equipment and efforts to install and enclose the cable so the aesthetic look of the facility was maintained.
With the growth of commerce and tourism in the area, the County anticipates that they will have the network capability to improve service to residents, businesses and tourists in Southern Door County.
