Project Overview
A new construction project that involved custom cabling needed for hosting festivals.
In the winter of 2016, the Miller Stage area on the Summerfest grounds was updated and expanded. CC&N was hired to design and build a complete physical cabling infrastructure for Milwaukee World Festival that would enhance the area’s wireless network. Extensive cabling was required due to the multiple technologies of the stage. Along with basic wireless needs, the Miller Stage area needed advanced AV cabling for a “plug & play” approach to connecting stage equipment, security system cabling, and extensive broadcast TV connectivity.
The desired spring completion deadline forced a winter installation and delays due to weather conditions occurred. There were also over 2,000 disorganized original cabling runs through the grounds that presented a unique challenge. CC&N technicians precisely identified the original cable and installed the new cabling in an approach that avoided disruptions to the existing Summerfest network.
