Project Overview
A collaborative project with S3 to provide the cable connectivity to support a Blackboard Access Control system for Carroll University’s historic Voorhees and Main Hall buildings.
Unlike new construction, where pre-planning can adhere to prescribed installation processes, the Voorhees and Main Hall buildings required a specialized approach to accommodate the challenges of structures that are over 100 years old. It was critical to Carroll that the cable was to be concealed and raceways would have minimal exposure, thus preserving the integrity of the historic building. Modifications to provide a creative enclosure and cable routing approach were designed by CC&N’s RCDD certified designer and the CC&N solution maintained the historic building image desired. The implementation successfully met the functional needs and simultaneously preserved the integrity of the building.
