The Ascension Health Care St. Clare Hospital in Weston, Wi needed to enhance its critical care services. This required building expansion and an upgrade to their cabling infrastructure.

The Ascension Health Care organization, which serves many areas in North Central Wisconsin, was expanding its Weston, Wisconsin hospital to enhance their critical care services. CC&N was awarded the cabling installation of the project by Ascension’s general contractor.  The ICU Tower expansion involved a 4-story addition to their in-patient critical care services, including the Intensive Care Unit.

CC&N installed copper cabling infrastructure and 12 single-mode primary and redundant fiber optic cable strands and added 8 new telecom closets.  1,200 feet of non-typical runs of 24 individual fiber strands were installed during the expansion while working around operating patient services during the implementation.  CC&N also supplied the connectivity for their Access Control systems.

For Ascension’s ICU Tower, adding more critical care beds and providing more state-of-the-art care enables them to raise the patients’ experience to a new level.
