Project Overview
The hotel general contractor/building owner wanted expert assistance in creating a comprehensive cabling infrastructure design and implementation that would enable an exceptional guest experience and an efficient building operation.
The Hilton Garden Hotel is strategically located near the Granite Peak Ski Area and Rib Mountain State Park. The architecture and interior are striking and complement the surrounding Wausau landscape.
CC&N was invited to be part of this project by the electrical contractor, Seifert Electric, and partnered with them and the general contractor (who is also the building owner) to design a cabling infrastructure. They required highly efficient connectivity for all of their IP building and business systems that would provide a convenient and exceptional experience for the hotel guests. Cabling connectivity was to be the network foundation for their IT needs, guest suites, phones, and VMS security system with 8 cameras. Based on experience in the hospitality field, CC&N was also able to help the hotel management evaluate options for their TV system and select an IP TV solution that provided the most feature-rich option for the experience they wished to deliver.
The completed design included 108 guest suites, 4 floors of cabling infrastructure, 486 6E cable runs throughout the building, the installation of 118 wireless access points, and a centrally located main equipment room.
Being part of this project was exciting and the Hilton Garden team was happy that CC&N was able to complete the project on time and on budget and with no start-up issues. CC&N was also pleased to assist the local electrical contractor and meet their expectations as well.
